GEN-31 TEACH CAMP-3 AKKOY 22.10 – 05.11 EDU 5 VOLS National Education Diroctorate of Akköy town wishes to host international volunteers for practising English with 10-15 years old primary school pupils, in the classrooms. We need international, native or non-native good and clear English speaking volunteers to “talk” with these pupils in order to assist the English teachers or sometime to replace them and lead the class by bthrie own. W: Practicing English with the local primary school pupils during the lessons. Volunteers will use English as a tool to encourage the local pupils to learn foreign languages. Apart from the scheduled daily practices, volunteers must be ready to spent some of their free time with the students as well. This camp offers intensively close contact with the local young population and their families. R: Volunteers should have a good level of English and be keen of teaching. A motivation letter should be sent with the application form. Minimum age : 20. A: In a school dormitory. Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. F: Will be supplied at the dormitory. LA: English. LO: Akköy is a small town in the West of Turkey. The nearest city is Denizli. T: Istanbul. The project will start in Istanbul with a compulsory orientation meeting that all volunteers should attend on the first day of the camp. The group will travel together to the camp site by an overnight coach on the same evening.
